DRESS: Sezane | BOOTS: Sandro (Similar)| Bag: H&M (Similar)| Coat: Zara (Similar)| TIGHTS: Wolford
At this stage of life, I’m constantly on the hunt for versatile dresses that I can slip into for work! Nothing boringly conservative, nothing too promiscuous and unprofessional, just great classic pieces that can transition from the office to events! High Street brands like (Sezane, & Other Stories, ASOS, and Zara) are a great place to start, then check out sales at Contemporary favorites (like Sandro, Rebecca Taylor, Ganni, and the Outnet) if you want investment pieces that will last you a bit longer!

The trick to work dresses in the winter is finding fabrics that are breathable and comfortable. Oftentimes it’s FREEZING out, which is why it’s essential to have a cosy winter coat. But once you’re inside, you deal with the struggle of being too warm. Go for a light longer sleeve and midi to long hemline. You can always add a pair of sheer tights for insulted warmth, then round everything off with a classic tote and your go-to work approved bootie or leather boot! I’ve been carrying around this H&M bag while I weighed my options for an upgraded work tote. I did a roundup HERE if you’re on the hunt for work bags, and finally just ordered this Polene bag, so I’ll let you know what I think!

As far as work dresses go, this Sezane dress is one of my newest favs! I love the fit, love the feminine fabric, and bundled up in 39 degree weather, was actually pretty warm. While I don’t necessarily love everything from Sezane, I really do love their dresses/skirts/ and trousers for fashion-forward, good quality pieces to wear work! It’s a step up from Zara, but not as big of a blow to the wallet as Sandro — I’ve included them many times before (work trip to paris, classic fall staples, 4 Comfy Winter Classics, etc. etc. etc) linked this exact dress, more of my Sezane favorites, plus several other work dress options that are all under $200!
