What to Wear Skiing

I can’t wait to be back in the mountains this weekend! I grew up skiing in Colorado and since moving to London, getting to ski in the alps has been one of my favorite highlights each year. Last year a big crew of us went to Les Deux Alpes. The year before I went skiing in Zermatt, and this year I’m checking two ski destinations off the bucket list — Gstaad for a Lalo Digital work trip and Tignes, France with friends later on in March!
I usually do a big ski shopping haul or devote a Christmas to ski gear every 3 or so years, so this season I’ll be skiing in lots of outfit repeats sans this new Perfect Moment Jacket I just ordered, and a few newer accessories.
When skiing, for me it’s really all about the layers. My number one priority is first and foremost to stay warm but I’d be lying if I didn’t also love the sporty-chic ski fashion side of skiing… So much so I actually think if I ever had my own clothing line, I’d love to have a ski brand. If you’re heading on a ski trip or just looking for some Inspo to inspire your next vacation, I’ve rounded up an edit for my "SKI SHOP" full of favorites and inspo what to wear the next time you hit the slopes!
Erin Snow has been my favorite ski pant brand for years. They’re expensive but fit like a glove and if you’re a consistent skier like me, they’re something you’ll wear for years. Perfect Moment is truly having a "moment" — For me my favorites are their ski jumpers. I got this star one last year that I’ll definitely be bringing back again, and just ordered this buckle bag to cinch around my ski jackets that don’t have a belt.
Thermal Wise – I have several pairs from North Face that I’ll bring back out I’m sure but I’m also excited to wear this Sweaty Betty set that I bought this season. (I wear a lot of their workout clothes in London and love how comfortable they are).
4 seasons strong I’ve been wearing my Smith Goggles. I just finally caved to upgrade and ordered this pair of Illestevas so I’ll let you know how they are.
Moonboots are another brand currently having a moment! The super chunky pair are a bit too much for me, but I just ordered this pair thats classic but still fun.
The Aprés action is just as if not more important than skiing itself so for the full spirit, I ordered this Aprés Sweater from ASOS and LOVE this splurge option from Frame if you have some cushion in your ski budget!
SKI SHOP WISE || Dallas friends, Saint Bernard is your skiing lifesaver. They have the BEST selection of ski stuff, that’s were I go for my haul when I’m ski shopping and in town. The rest of us/ the UK crowd — Net A Porter really couldn’t be better when you’ve looking for investment brands. I went to Selfridges over the weekend and was honestly a little underwhelmed. They had way more online than in store, so with how good online shopping is these days, I’d recommend doing an online haul then returning whatever you don’t wear. Sweaty Betty has a good sporty selection both online and in store. Otherwise, I’ve been shopping on ASOS, online at Free People, and PERFECTMOMENT.COM for things they don’t have on MatchesFashion or Net a Porter.
Happy Ski Season!
