While on Nantucket, I always try to do one of my favorite things which is to drive around to see all the various beautiful homes. They never seem to disappoint with their charm (and gardens!) and while on island the other week we made a point of getting in as much home-spotting as we could.
On my last night on the island we headed over to ‘Sconset and after doing the bluff walk (a Nantucket must!), we drove around to take in the homes and equally gorgeous gardens. We did so as we wound our way to dinner at Fifty-Six Union (highly recommend their delicious lobster roll!) with the lovely Sara O’Brien and her husband Miles – the talented duo behind the home brand Sara Fitz.
It was one of those beautifully moody evenings where spritz of rain were being intercepted with pockets of sunshine. I love the part of the island called Siasconset (but lovingly and widely referred to as ‘Sconset) because it feels like its own little secret area. The Bluff Walk does get rather busy in the morning and mid-day but otherwise when you drive around, you’ll feel like you have the area to explore to yourself. Don’t miss driving along Ocean Avenue to marvel at some large properties that will leave you drooling and of course nearby you must pop by to visit the Sankaty Head Lighthouse. The aforementioned Bluff Walk is also particularly magical in the evening as the sun begins to set. If you head to this area in the morning, pick up coffee at the ‘Sconset Market to accompany your walk around. And of course don’t miss this Instagram famous cottage on Shell Street nearby.
For our evening stroll and drive, I wore this darling two piece set that, with sneakers, had me feeling like I was in my tennis whites! I love the casual, preppy vibes that are the Nantucket uniform and this two piece set felt perfect for it.

Eyelet is one of those designs I will never stop loving. I absolutely adore how feminine it is and I know I’ll wear it clear into warmer temperatures in September. A few favorites above include this adorable swimsuit, this under $50 dress, this perfect little white dress, this pretty top, this dress that’s now on sale for $70, this dress (love the red color and the white!), this flattering top with pretty details and this timeless top.
p.s. sailing on Nantucket and classic summer pieces your wardrobe could benefit from.
