Good morning! I’ve got a fun pattern and texture mixing outfit for you today. There are so many pieces to this outfit that I adore, but by just a smidgen, my favorite is the velvet hair bow.
I don’t know about you, but I love how a hair bow can take an effortless ponytail and kick it up a notch. The velvet hair bow is right on trend with the season, and oh so chic. I actually saw it in-store at Anthropologie and couldn’t pass up all three colors: grey, navy and blush pink.
You’ll definitely be seeing more of this velvet hair bow, and the two other colors I snagged, throughout the season. I can’t wait to continue combining the simple, yet classic accessory with other outfits. If you recall, I’ve done some hair bows in the past, see here and here.
The pattern and texture play within this outfit, makes it a personal favorite as of late. The velvet hair bow coupled with a lightweight striped top (currently on sale!), and accessorized with my go-to leopard print sandals (love this block-heeled pair) and a great snakeskin clutch, make for the perfect summer to fall transitional outfit.
The combo of all these patterns and textures works when you see the photos. Although just hearing it would make you think otherwise: ‘perhaps she’s piled on too many trends at once?’ Well I beg to differ.
The simplicity of the top and jeans allow for the combination of pieces in the accessory department. I love sometimes taking subtle risks in my everyday outfits, do you?
