CHRISTMAS OUTFIT DETAILS: Dress: ℅ Lauren James | Shoes: Similar | Bag: Tory Burch | Earrings: Baublebar | Tights: Hanes
Ah, the one constant of the holidays: meeting up with your family.
Most of my relatives lived in Maryland and Virginia growing up, so we essentially picked a house to celebrate at since we were all within ~4 hours of one another. My Maryland relatives on my mom’s side of the family moved to Hawaii, so needless to say, we don’t get to see them too much during the holidays anymore. I mean, do you blame them for not wanting to fly back into the cold?
Anyway, back when we had a big family all in the Mid-Atlantic, our Christmas dinners were a tad bit dressier. If my big family were all on the same coast this year, this red velvet cap sleeve dress from Lauren James would be my pick for my Christmas outfit. I mean, how often can you look like a present? The low scoop back and bow detail makes this Christmas outfit a slam dunk pick for any Holiday gathering!
When I shot these Christmas outfit photos in November, it was 65 degrees in D.C. As I type this post out now, I think it might be 37 degrees there (I’m currently in San Diego, so I have zero clue, hah!) Regardless, this pretty little dress looks great with or without a sheer pair of tights, so it will be perfect for any climate (and whatever weather Mother Nature wants to throw at the Mid-Atlantic this year).
Anyway: how do you all celebrate Christmas Eve or Christmas Day? Does your family go casual, or dress up for the holiday?
