CAPE reversible grey and tan cape | BOOTS faux suede boots | HAT brixton corey II felted wool fedora | SHIRT halogen crewneck | JEANS j.crew jeans
We’ve seen it here and there over the past couple of autumns, but this season it’s officially making it’s grand entrance into the outerwear scene in a major way. I for one, could not be more excited! Let’s give a warm welcome to my favorite outerwear piece this season… the cape!
I love the cape for many reasons. First of all, they’re oh-so-classic. Secondly, they’re incredibly practical. (Perfect for us southern girls who want to dress for fall without the ectra heat!) And finally, they are surprisingly style-versatile!
This one, in particular, was perfect for a chilly evening spent in Estes Park, Colorado. I love the western vibes it gives off when paired with faux suede boots (the BEST, y’all have to get!) and this hat (which I removed the feathers from, haha!), but also can’t wait to dress it up with a turtleneck, pearl earrings and riding boots (this is the pair I’ll be wearing all fall) for more of a preppy look!
There are so many great ones available this season, and I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites below! But don’t forget… the one I’m wearing in this post is under $50 and comes in three other gorgeous fall colorways. (Including pink and grey!)
Tomorrow, I’m so excited to kick off the first post in my new series "Wedding Wednesdays!" When I polled y’all for input on what/how much/when you wanted to see content, the overwhelming response was "EVERYTHING!" (y’all are the best!) along with a commonly-requested "Wedding Wednesday" post. Tomorrow, I think I’m going to take it back to the beginning and share how Andrew and I met. Let me know what other Wedding Wednesday posts you’d like to see!
Love from Texas,
