For the last week or more I have been posting nothing but Spring related looks. Off the shoulder tops, killer backless dresses, 5 Spring Essentials. Of course, the one day in months Chicago has seen 70+ degrees, I am posting about oversized scarves. Only in Chicago can it be 25 degrees then 75 in less than 12 hours. Listen, there’s no complaining here, y’all! It’s basically Christmas today and I can’t wait to get outside to soak it all in.
So, like I said, since it’s been utterly freezing here these last several weeks, I wanted today to be a celebration – and a remade take – on one of my favorite oversized scarves. Since last season, this scarf has been my go-to. I love the vibrant colors and versatility.
Last season I paired it with a tan wool skirt and my favorite maroon mules and I wanted to take a similar, more casual take again this season. Pairing it with the same stripe button down top (a closet must-have), my favorite Gregory Sylvia tote, denim and kitten heel pumps gives it an updated feel perfect for casual Friday or a quick weekend look. Plus, an oversized scarf makes for the perfect light-layered coat!
Can you still break out the oversized scarf where you’re located?
