Met Gala Favorites & Trends to Take Away

If you’ve been on Instagram or the Internet today, I’m sure you’ve seen lots of looks from the Met Gala. Some stunning, some outright strange — so in the spirit of Fashion’s Biggest event of the year, I selected my favs + trends to take away. Dakota, Emma, Elle, and Dua Lipa easily won the "Camp" theme this year. No extra heads, Harry Stiles nip slips, or 4x Gaga outfit changes needed….
My #1 Pick for top Dressed | Love this hue for spring/summer — Great change of pace for wedding guest/shower/ascot dresses and it takes the oversized headband trend up several notches.

TRENDING: Magenta Purples and Salmon Pink Hues

For starters, I think Elle Fanning is the cutest ever. I always love her retro vibes and much prefer the chic structured vibe of the 70’s over the too-relaxed current comeback of the 90’s. This hairstyle was definitely my favorite with the soft Twiggy-esque makeup and for spring/summer I love the idea of salmon pink palettes + more coordinating combos.

TRENDING: 70’s nods & 60’s psychedelic silk patterns

Dua Lipa and Lily Collins both brought the Lisa-Marie Presley hairstyle vibe. I’m all for a little volume, especially paired with stunning embellished hair crowns that kept making appearances on the blush carpet. This look is a little out there for everyday outfits, but I do LOVE the 60’s psychedelic silk patters — very Seren and would look amazing for spring in silk trousers or jumpsuits.

TRENDING: Embellished Headbands & Metal-based Flower Crowns

This headpiece had me searching Net-A-Porter for inspo right away — I love the delicate vibe of these soft embellished flower crowns to add to the trend of super chunky headpieces. Come spring/summer I love this romantic accessory with dresses, and again love the soft pink, salmony hue.
