Happy Memorial Day! We’re so blessed to live in a country where people fight for our freedom and I want to thank everyone who has done just that.
I wanted to wear red white and blue (couldn’t find anything red that I could incorporate) but instead I wore blue, white and… a bunch of other fun colors! This is probably one of my favorite casual outfits that I’ve done in a while and it’s great for Memorial Day style. You could wear this for a BBQ, lunch, going out during the day, basically anything. I’m an absolute sucker for stripes, and this top is no exception. Plus, it’s only $22! I mean, it doesn’t get better than that and it is extremely comfortable and has a slouchy pocket.
I wanted to add a pop of color with this beautiful tote. I received it on Saturday and immediately snapchatted it (follow me: laurenpatao) because I couldn’t wait to wear it and take photos with it! It fits so much and can either be a beach bag or an everyday bag. Plus, it has almost every color imaginable so you can match it with pretty much everything.
To give this look a really casual feel, I tied my favorite light wash denim jacket around my waist. I used to do this all of the time when I was younger! This is also a great idea if you’re wearing a shorter shirt and want to hide your bum, or if you’re wearing leggings and a top that doesn’t cover the right areas. Plus, if it gets cold you can just put it on and you’re good! It’s the best of both worlds. :)
PS. I had a blast at the Kendra Scott opening in Boca! I got so many fun goodies and can’t wait to style them. This ring, this ring and this necklace are just some of the few pieces I picked up! Clearly, I couldn’t wait to wear them… haha.
I hope you have an amazing day and a great Memorial Day. Make sure to thank those who have served our country and thank you so much for reading! xo
