So, if you haven’t been around here for a while, I have a series called Foodie Files where I mix the two loves of my life: fashion and food.
Malmaison has been one of my favorite little restaurants for years now (and I’ve actually shot here before), but I’ve never actually given you all the scoop on this gorgeous cafe in Georgetown. First off, the interior? Pink couches? Tons of natural light? French-inspired decor accents? It’s already one of the most Instagrammable spots in D.C., so of course this spot is a fashion bloggers dream!
As far as the food, I love it because it’s so versatile. You can stop in during a weekday to pick up a latte and a croissant from the cafe, and you can plan a long, bottomless brunch during the weekend and enjoy french cuisine. Also, Malmaison has the best tasting mimosas I’ve personally had in my 3.5 years of living in D.C. — and that’s saying a lot! The fact that you can stop in any day of the week makes Malmaison one of my favorite spots in the city.
I was super stoked when the interior of Malmaison matched my Yumi Kim maxi dress to a T! Olivia and I met up with  and we had fun with this shoot since we came on a Wednesday morning and had the place to ourselves. I don’t normally have shoots that are this editorial, but maybe I should start doing more shoots like this!
