Just when I thought the late-summer weather here in Florida was going to do me in, the most gorgeous, cool weather rolled in this past weekend. Cloudy skies, sixty eight degrees, and last but not least, a breeze. You just can’t make this stuff up!
Naturally, Andrew and I ended up spending nearly the entire day outdoors. We started with a walk around our neighborhood, even… wait for it… deciding to head back to the house a few minutes in to grab hot coffee. It’s the little things, I tell ya.
Then, we grabbed Flynn, picked up lunch, and headed out for our first every family dog park outing. Let’s just say, he loved it! Is there any greater joy than seeing your pup run his little heart out, unhindered by a leash? JOY.
The whole time we just kept looking at each other saying "this weather is what we’ve been waiting for!" I have to admit, we were feeling so festive that we even stopped for our first pumpkin spice lattes on the way home.
Before the day ended, I threw on this outfit I’ve been holding onto for a few weeks. It needed it’s time to shine, and I needed a taste of fall fashion! I don’t know that it gets any better than a crisp white blouse (sold out, similar here) and a classic herringbone blazer, and I can’t wait to wear this classic ensemble in various forms (swapping out the top for a sweater, for example, and dark wash jeans instead of white) these coming months.
While I don’t predict that Sunday’s weather is here to stay, it was just what my heart needed after a muggy, rainy few weeks. And it has me so inspired for and excited about the week ahead!
Love from the Sunshine State,
