Embroidered Halter Top in Navy

Embroidered Halter Top in Navy by Kathrine Eldridge, Wardrobe Stylist
This embroidered halter top in navy has a special place in my heart. It combines my love for boho chic style and the color navy. This top gives any pair of boring bottoms a major stylish boost.

Asha Embroidered Halter Top from Anthropologie

I am a big fan of Anthropologie and love all their unique prints and colors of their clothes. (Especially during the summer.) Their prices are a little steep sometimes so I enjoy renting many of their items on Nuuly. That’s exactly what I did with this top.
The embroidery is so eye-catching but not over the top because of the navy. It’s such a nice balance between these two details. The halter top style is a great way to feature your arms and shoulders while staying cool. The fact that you can tie the straps around your neck for the perfect fit is a big bonus.
The one detail you need to keep in mind is the volume of this top. It almost has that pregnancy shape so make sure to wear a fitted bottom. Normally I would’ve done a skinny jean or pencil skirt but since I had these cropped white jeans (from my Nuuly box), I decided to put them together. The white really makes the navy pop don’t you think?
One last fit detail to keep in mind – this top runs a little big. Go a size down if you can. I wanted the back to feel a little more fitted on body. I had to hike it up every so often.

Last Days of Summer

I cannot believe we are in the home stretch of summer. Did it go fast for you too? There are no big plans for these last days except for a trip to my sister’s cottage for Labor Day weekend. Do you have any plans before fall begins? I asked if many of you are excited for fall fashion and several of you said that you want to enjoy summer as long as you can. I get that. I’m right in between. I want the warm weather but feel ready to dress in something different that shorts, tees, and summer dresses.
Have a fantastic week! XO
