Classic Staples: White Jeans

I’ve shared this look a few times on Instagram, but this post has been a long time coming—  Usually most people stock up on a pair of white jeans before the start of summer but I actually bought mine this exact time last year. I’ve always found "end of summer sales" are the best chance to stock up on classic pieces — white jeans, white t’s, a pair of espadrilles to wear now and bring back out next year and the year after….Unlike trends, classic pieces always get their money’s worth. If you time it right, you can end up with some really great pieces for a really good deal. Best part about the classics, they’ll be in just as high of demand next year, only with a higher price tag!
I found these Rebecca Taylor white jeans (Similar under $80) during an end of summer sale last year. I have two pairs of white jeans and because they last a while, they’re are an item you really only need to invest in every few years. The older I’ve gotten the less I’ve followed the whole "No White After Labor Day" rule. They’re an obvious choice for bbqs, errands, and nights out during the summer but I’m also a fan of a chic white jean look with a sleek top, turtleneck, or tailored coat come winter.
To round off these toasty summer days, I’m still bringing out my white tee on repeat. It’s another classic staple that will never get old, despite how many trends come and go (cough cough skinny sunglasses and moon boot tennis shoes :) ) I try to pick my trends wisely, not just because I know what I can and can’t pull off, but to ensure I get my money’s worth in this tempting world of consumerism and fashion! I purchased this Mansur Gavriel bag two years ago, and despite many dead trends it’s still going strong along with this chic silk scarf I picked up in France! This year head scarves are all the rage, but when that trend has come and gone it’s still great to tie around your neck, add as an accessory to your bag, or re-style in whatever way is popular next!
