As most of you know, I just moved to Philly a few weeks ago. I’m so excited to finally live within walking distance of some of my best friends, and finally have the opportunity to live alone and start entertaining again!
One (international!) event that’s helped me settle down a bit in my new city is Negroni Week. For starters, I hosted a small get together a week ago and served some Negroni Sbagliatos – Negronis with a twist! Instead of using gin, I swapped it out for prosecco (and my friends definitely approved!) It was awesome to share this unique recipe with my friends, and it was an absolute hit.
Another thing that’s great about Negroni Week as well is their amazing set of partners in and around each city. I scrolled down their list of venues they partnered with in Philly, and I stumbled upon Philadelphia Distilling and Heritage, both of which are a short walk away from my new apartment! I tried both of these places out for the first time with friends, and they did not disappoint. They’re some of the best bars/restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I’m happy that Negroni Week helped me discover them!
Want to join in on the fun? You can find a venue near you on Negroni Week’s website and get out and explore your city! Negroni Week also has a fabulous charity aspect as well: a portion of proceeds from Negroni Week events will go to charitable causes all around the world. How fab is that?
