Do you know what’s the coolest part about working for myself? I finally get to create my own dress code.
Don’t get me wrong: I never worked at a place with a super strict dress code in my post grad years. I worked at media groups and software agencies that were totally cool with me rocking denim to the office. However, now that I work for myself, anytime I meet with clients or brand partners, or simply walk over to my neighborhood coffee shop or WeWork to get things done, I can wear whatever I want.
This outfit right here is my favorite for a day of answering emails, meeting with clients and staging photoshoots. The top and the shoes scream business, while the cropped flare denim dresses the ensemble down a bit. I love to top it off with this blush coat; the color is unexpected and such a fun alternative to a boring black winter coat, and it looks chic and pulls the whole power ensemble together.
