So my goal when I started this new year was better overall person wellness. Improved physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, etc. etc. health and all that. So like all over-acheivers it’s taken me basically till March to work out the approach I’d like to take to improve my overall wellness.
One of the things I wanted to do was deal with physical complaints that I’ve been neglecting for, in some cases, years. One of those things is my back. I have a terrible back. A few bad cheerleading injuries from my teen years, plus a natural sway back, four pregnancies and wearing heels (probably) too often, does not a happy back make. I was long overdue a trip to the chiropractor.
Yesterday I went for the first time since high school, and I keep thinking why on earth did I put that off for so long? I feel amazing. I remember researching all the health benefits to chiropractic way back in the day when I was first going, but I’d kind of forgotten all the added benefits beyond just back/neck pain relief. I already feel amazing, and I can’t wait to go back.
Speaking of can’t wait, I wish it would stop raining so dang much right now, because I really want to wear my spring clothes, white jeans for example and these amazing booties again. Both are so comfy. The pants feel like pajamas, and the leather on these boots is like butter right out of the box.
