"Accessories are what makes or marks a woman." Coco Chanel
Vintage jewellery pieces are particularly unique, timeless and their appeal transcends the dynamic fashion cycles.
I’m always on the hunt for new ways to mix vintage jewellery into my modern wardrobe, imagine romantic and dainty pieces, bold, geometric necklaces and bracelets, and clean, minimal metal cuffs and earrings.
Over the years I have become very detail oriented. I believe that it’s in fact accessories that are often the focal point of a look and have the power to transform and elevate it unlike anything else. When it comes to styling an outfit, most of the time I gravitate towards simplicity when it comes to clothing and go all out with accessories. However, I also love matching the same styles, as you can see in the case of today’s look, layers of vintage with a few sparkly favourites from Happiness Boutique.
I love the way vintage jewellery can transform the most casual outfit into a polished and sophisticated assembly, and add that perfect finishing touch to any day or night-time look! And as of late, the pieces that seem to pair absolutely flawlessly with all my casual and dressy ensembles are the ones I’ve picked up from Happiness Boutique jewellery a few weeks ago, the Blooming Stud Earrings and Rhinestones and Pearl Statement Earrings that you can see styled in my post.
You may already know that vintage jewellery happens to be a particular weakness of mine. If you have not yet, you may enjoy reading my post about brooches, one piece of jewellery that I would never leave the house without, see here.
The main reason I’m completely obsessed with the earrings I’m wearing in today’s post is because I feel they are so incredibly feminine and glamorous yet edgy, modern and slightly rebellious at the same time. The fact is that I’ve worn them with jeans, t-shirts, and cocktail dresses, and somehow they never fail to complete every one of my looks in the most magical of ways, which is the reason why they’ve been in such heavy rotation lately!
What about you guys, do you also believe that accessories have the ultimate power?
