Casual Valentine’s Day Outfit Idea:
Alright, who else loves the idea of Valentine’s Day, but hates the idea of going out in public on February 14th?
You guys know that I love a good night out on the town, but Valentine’s Day is one day that I’ve always preferred to stay home. My birthday is two weeks after V-Day, and to be honest? That’s way more of a priority for me! I’ve told all of my boyfriends over the last decade (hah!) that I’m down to cook a nice dinner at home instead of battling the masses and trying to book a reservation at the hottest restaurant in town.
Whether you’re staying at home with your partner or hanging out with your gal pals on Valentine’s Day, here’s a fun, casual Valentine’s Day outfit idea that will keep you cozy! For starters, I’m in love with this cropped turtleneck sweater — it shows just the right amount of skin when paired with a high-waisted bottom. These jeans have Thermolite technology and are built for cold weather: they’ll keep you super warm even on the most frigid days of winter, and are incredibly flattering!
I paired this with my favorite pair of Stuart Weitzman sneakers, but I found a pretty spot on dupe for a fraction of the cost. I’m also currently renting this embellished Zac Zac Posen purse, and I might need just to go ahead and purchase it. It is the perfect statement bag that will jazz up any casual ensemble!
Tom and I will probably make ourselves a steak dinner at home using some of our favorite locally-sourced ingredients, and rent a movie (what a wild night!) What are your plans for Valentine’s/Galentine’s Day?
