This week, I’m sharing another Wardrobe Re-Wear with you! The whole premise of Wardrobe Re-Wear is to share multiple ways to style one basic piece. The piece is typical something that you can find in your own closet. I’m a firm believe that most clothing should be flexible with multiple ways to wear. This edition of Wardrobe Re-Wear features a . While white button-downs are usually reserved for workwear looks (more on that later this week!), today’s look showcases a laid back, casual look for summer.

OK, first thing’s first–I’m absolutely obsessed with this Lele Sadoughi neon pink magenta knot headband. I’ve shot at least 2 more outfits wearing this headband and I’m not sorry about it. It’s honestly that good. And yes, it’s an investment, but it’s worth it. It’s such a great statement piece to set off your entire outfit.
When you’re looking for a white button-down, you want to grab one with an oversized fit. This white boyfriend button-down shirt is perfect. I found it on a Friday night Target trip after I had been searching for the perfect one. I purposefully shot this after washing it to see how bad it would wrinkle. I fluffed it in the dryer and it came out with just the slightest flip around the edges.
To me, the epitome of casual is lived-in jean shorts. My acid wash jean shorts are my all-time favorite jean shorts. The length and fit are seriously perfect. If you’re between sizes, you’ll want to size up. Yes, they’re even better than the Abercrombie jean shorts in my book for a fraction of the price. I’m avoiding darker wash jeans this summer in favor of super light washes.
If your shirt is more over-sized than mine, I recommend doing a french tuck or tie the ends of your shirt in front. You definitely have options for stying here.
For accessories, like every other outfit this summer, opt for layered necklaces that are more choker length (20″ or less chains). Bead necklaces are back in, like everything else from the 90’s. I do suggest adding statement earrings. Abstract floral earrings, like these Kendra Scott Savannah statement earrings, are having a moment. Many statement earrings are heavy, but these have Kendra Scott’s featherweight designation and are fairly comfortable to wear.
I finished off my casual white button-down look for summer with my tie dye slide sandals. They’re on trend, tie in my headband, and are comfortable to wear.
