I talk a lot about denim shorts, because I wear them a lot. All year long, dressed down and dressed up. I recently got into another style of shorts that I talk about here, but my go-to will forever be the denim short. One style in particular has been having a moment for some time and that’s the mid-length denim short. Most of my denim shorts are mid-length (some maybe slightly shorter), but I’ve enjoyed seeing them get more love lately. I think they’re the most laidback and versatile option of the denim shorts.
SHOP MY LOOK
As shown above, I dressed my mid-length denim shorts up a little with my block heels and rhinestone denim jacket (I mean can you even with the jacket? It might be my favorite thing in my closet at the moment). Because of that fun jacket, I think a version of this outfit would be perfect to wear to a concert, either with the heels or swapping them for some boots.
My biggest tip for wearing mid-length denim shorts is to make sure to balance your outfit.
Since these are longer shorts that will stop further down your thigh, balance that out with a top that is either: tucked in, cropped, or hits your belt line perfectly. While I LOVE an oversized shirt, this is a short I wouldn’t pair with one-especially with my petite frame.
The Best Mid-Length Denim Shorts
Above are some great options for shopping this style and I can’t recommend enough the exact pair Im wearing. They are comfortable and have a fitted-but-not-tight look, which I love as someone with a curvier bum and thighs. I also like that the specific wash I’m wearing has a raw hem, so that if you needed/wanted to cut them you could.too chic and cute post. xoxo.
