Considering how overwhelming and complicated the world feels right now, it’s good to take a step back and simplify things where we can.
Our closet is one of those places, and as superficial as it might be to talk about the importance of clothing during a worldwide pandemic, hear me out.
Wardrobe affects our psyche more than we might realize or even more than some of us care to admit. (Though I'm assuming not you because you're reading this post and scrolling through a fashion blog.)
I'm hoping if there's any good to come out of this year is our overall approach to fashion and just buying habits in general.
Hopefully, we can put the days of fashion fast and trend shopping in the past and move towards more sustainable buying habits.
Buy now, wear now, wear for years to come.
In this post, I'm wearing pieces that I've owned for a combined five years, and yes, that I still adore them.
I store them away in the off-seasons and bring them out when it's time.
I'm also wearing a new piece here, a black Maje pinstripe wool coat which I picked up recently at a sample sale.
It's timeless and classic yet cut in a modern way that suits my personal style.
I hope this post, and all of the fashion posts here on WoahStyle, inspire you to shop your own closet and come up with new outfit combinations that will excite you.
I've linked similar pieces to the ones I'm wearing in this post. I choose affiliate links mindfully, posting both high and low fashion, as I would wear myself. If you choose to buy something, I will get a small commission from the sale. This doesn’t impact the price you pay. Affiliate links are just another way to monetize my blog.
