Leopard Slip Dress

So, this Leopard Print Slip Dress was a real surprise for me. Normally, I don’t like leopard prints. I find them kind of tacky. But I was pleasantly surprised that this leopard print is very subtle and from far away it almost just looks like a neutral, textured print. I’m 100% in love with it!

The material of the dress is 100% viscose and has a slight texture to it. I really like this fabric because it’s very comfortable and light. I also find that it dries really quickly – which is great. I actually wore this dress all weekend at the beach and I think it makes a nice swim cover up too. I’m wearing the size small – which is my usual size in Jenni Kayne. I probably could have fit in the XS but I like a little room. The straps are adjustable and I do end up adjusting them pretty high so that the dress isn’t too low.

Overall, this dress is a huge WIN and something that I would buy myself if it came in more colors or prints. I’m really surprised at how much I love it. Yes, it is pricey for a slip dress but I feel like a good leopard print is hard to find and I just really like how this dress lays on me.

Cotton Cocoon Cardigan

I had previously tried on the Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan in store and fell in love with it! So when I was offered the Cotton Cocoon Cardigan to try out I said YES! The cotton version has the same shape as the cashmere version and runs large as well so I sized down to an XS. As you can see – it’s still extremely oversized for an XS! But that’s how it’s supposed to be. It’s also a looser knit so it will stretch out over time too. The material is not 100% cotton but a blend of 70% organic cotton and 30% recycled polyamide. Maybe that’s to give it a more lightweight feel for summer?

I do love the fit of this cardigan. Even though it’s oversized I feel like it just lays so nicely and doesn’t look too big. I also think it looks AMAZING with the Leopard Slip Dress. This cardigan plus the slip dress are my go-to outfit combo for chilling at home. I feel sooo cool when I’m wearing it!

However, there is one big downside to this cardigan. It snags A LOT. I feel like it’s always getting caught on something. I think it might be due to the fact that it’s a fabric blend and not 100% cotton. The fibers are a little looser and just get caught on things really easily. The cashmere cocoon cardigan is 100% cashmere so I feel like it wouldn’t snag as much – but I don’t have that version so I can’t say for sure. If I had to choose between the two versions I would go for the cashmere cocoon cardigan because it really is SO SOFT. And I would rather pay more for cashmere than a cotton blend. But with all that being said, I still LOVE LOVE LOVE this cardigan!

Raffia Crossover Sandals

This is my second pair of crossover sandals from Jenni Kayne. I also have the crossover sandals in cheetah (see the review here) – and I love them both! I have thin and narrow feet but these sandals still work for me. I LOVE the raffia design on the footbed of the Raffia Crossover sandal. It’s also a nice, neutral slide sandal that goes with any outfit. My only complaint is that the raffia fibers snag and I noticed a loose string on one of the pairs.
