flounce dress / sunshine tienda earrings c/o (more faves here + here)
Hola! So, how’s your week going? I was in a shopping mood and ended up ordering a bunch of stuff from H&M for fun (not sponsored). So, I thought I would share my try-on session with you. Also, mostly because I loved nearly every single piece and the prices are SO good I don’t want you to miss out since their inventory tends to go super quickly. Here goes…
H&M Haul Try-On: What I Kept & What You Should 100% Get – Spring/Summer 2021
long black dress / short black dress / black tee + grey sweat shorts / baby blue crocs + jibbitz c/o / banana leaf phone case
These easy black dresses! I loved the long version, short version and the tee. Also, if you buy only one piece, make it this long black dress (under $18). It’s super comfy, flattering and easy to wear and would be perfect for summer travels. Also, makes me miss my days of living in New York. I’m the rare bird who loves summer in the City.
However, I love these jogger shorts /sweatshorts too and got them in multiple colors. So, the inside feels like fleece, in a good way. Just such easy to throw on staples.
cream tank / sweatshirt / twill pants / tee / shorts
I got the shorts in this pretty cream color too (my favorite, as you can see by all of the other pieces I nabbed in this hue too). I’ve been wanting to get a pair of high waisted/paperbag jeans, but can’t stand anything tight on my tummy and wasn’t willing to pay hundreds of dollars on a pair either. When I saw these for under $25, I thought what the heck. And you know what? I LOVE them! I got them in a 4 (I’m usually a 27 in jeans).
Moreover, I totally recommend the sweatshirt, tee and tank too. The tank was sold out in my normal size small, so I got it in a medium and and it’s a little too big under the arms, but I kinda don’t care. So, I sized up to a medium in the sweatshirt and recommend doing the same, because shouldn’t sweatshirts always be extra roomy? This one is SUPER soft.
peach zip-up sweatshirt with hood (under $20) / wide-leg joggers (under $18)
Speaking of amazing sweats, get yourself these jogger flares and sweatshirt stat. The comfiest for lounging around the house. Soooo soft, it feels like a cloud. You. Are. Welcome.
What To Get From H&M
Finally, the gateway that led me to this shopping spree — this floral print!
I couldn’t decide if I wanted it in the ruffle flounce dress, the babydoll dress with sleeves or the top + short set. The prices are so good so I ordered all three, assuming I would return what didn’t work.
Spoiler alert: I loved & kept them all. So, probably my favorite is the short set because it’s linen and I like the gamine dimensions — high waist shorts with the boyish boxy top. Also, it feels somehow very British (Liberty of London print) meets Cuban (the silhouette).
But I love the ruffly piece too. And always keep an easy breezy babydoll dress as a coverup, house dress or running around town. Hence, why I keeping them all.
What I’m Not Keeping…Probably, Maybe?
Out of everything I ordered, there were only two things I’m not sure I’m keeping. Actually, I am probably keeping both because I am lazy and they’re not worth returning. One, these peach cropped linen pants. I love them, but they’re kinda see-thru in the back. So, I’ll only wear them with a long shirt like this peach linen top that I just added to cart (haha) or slip them on over my bathing suit.
Second, these pink platform sandals (above). Also, I want to love them, but they’re kinda heavy and the straps slightly rub. Mind you, I am HIGHLY sensitive, hence my love of Crocs. Also, I’ll probably just keep them, but I also know that given the choice to put them on versus slide into my Crocs, I’m going with my Crocs. Although, they do make me look longer and leaner, sooo….
