Fall Gathering Ideas

Happy Fall everyone! I’m so happy it’s finally here. For the second year in a row we kicked off the season with a hiking trip to see some Fall foliage. I’ll be sharing a recap on that soon. Today I wanted to celebrate the start of the season by sharing some Fall Gathering Ideas! I love to get especially festive during this time of the year, since we don’t see any change in our surroundings being in a tropical climate. So I like to make Fall magic happen whenever I can! Through recipes, decorations and themed gatherings.

Fall Gathering Ideas

Host a pumpkin carving contest.

This would be especially great to do outside on a cooler evening, since it can get a little messy. But how fun! And you can always roast the pumpkin seeds after too, for a yummy treat. Up the stakes by offering a prize (bottle of wine, baked good) for best carved pumpkin.

Have a pajama puzzle party.

Pretty much my dream party scenario. Buy some fall-inspired puzzles, set up a few tables and get to working together to finish the puzzles. All while keeping the vibes extra cozy in pajamas. Play some acoustic music, pour the mulled wine and put away the phones.

Throw a plaid party.

You’re sure to get some cute photos with everyone dressed in plaid. Include some plaid blankets, napkin etc. in your decor to really amplify the theme.

Invite everyone over for a Spooky Story Soirée.

No need to buy a book (although that would be pretty cool), the internet is full of spooky short stories. Each guest can pull one up on their phone as everyone sits around a fire pit outside (or search fireplace on Youtube on your smartTV and put that on indoors-I do this all of the time) and listen to the stories together while sipping something yummy-hot cocoa, wine etc.

Host a cozy cocktail night.

Each guest (or couple) brings the goods to make a fall-inspired cocktail and everyone takes turns trying each other’s creations.

Bring everyone together with a baked goods exchange.

There’s no season more synonymous with baked goods than the Fall. Have yourself and each guest bake something inspired by the season and enjoy each other’s creations with coffee and tea.
