With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, you might be thinking about what to wear for date night. So I just want to leave a gentle reminder that dressing for a night out with your special someone doesn’t have to mean wearing form-fitting dresses or revealing tops to be sexy. If you feel more comfortable in jeans, do it your way! I actually love the laid-back elegance of a baggy pair of jeans and a fitted top. It reminds me of the wide-leg pant/tiny top combos of the early aughts that I loved so much. I also think there’s something very cool about not showing too much skin for a date night look – it exudes confidence. Pernille Teisbaek does this very well (which is probably why so many of her looks are in my IG saved folders).
With this particular look, I really wanted to show off the cool print of this silk turtleneck, so I styled it with these light blue wide-leg jeans and an oversized blazer. And there are sooo many good printed turtlenecks right now. I picked … of my current faves that you can shop below!
